Days Out: Spurn Discovery Centre
Managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Spurn Discovery Centre offers everything visitors need to explore the wonderfully unique destination, ensuring every adventure is inspiring, safe and enjoyable.
One of the UK’s top migration watch points, Spurn offers bracing walks and panoramic sea views all year round, allowing visitors to wander freely over much of the nature reserve with the help of information boards on the paths. There are stunning views of the reserve and estuary from the Discovery Centre café too.

The Spurn Safari allows families to discover wildlife and heritage on board a 4x4, which travels with ease across the long stretch of sand that extends three and half miles into the Humber Estuary.
The guided three-hour tour down the Point includes a visit to the Spurn Lighthouse, one of the highest publicly accessible lighthouses in Northern England - climb to the top to enjoy unparalleled panoramic views from the 128ft-high lantern room at Yorkshire’s very own ‘Land’s End’.
