Otley cyclist Lizzie Armistead continued her impressive form with a gold medal on the opening day of the second round of the UCI World Track Cup in Melbourne.
Armitstead, who won three golds in Manchester during the previous round, added to that tally by finishing ahead of Italy's Annalisa Cucinotta and Russian Evgeniya Romanyuta in the women's scratch race.

There was also success for Londoner Joanna Rowsell, who won the women's pursuit with a time of three minutes 41.183 seconds, more than a second quicker than Australian Josephine Omic, with the Czech Republic's Lada Kozlikova in third.
