The Government has implemented a travel traffic light system for international travel which is based on the roll out of vaccines and Covid rates in other countries.
The Department for Transport (DfT) has announced which countries will be on the green list for travel from May 17 - these are countries you can travel to without having to quarantine afterwards.
Other countries are on amber or red lists - which mean there are much stricter rules around travel to them and do include a 10-day quarantine on return.
1. Faro in the Algarve, Portugal
Portugal has been added to the 'green list' by the government. This means people who travel there do not need to quarantine on their return to England. A pre-departure PCR test is required and also on or before day two of return to the UK.
