Suspicious wife '˜triggers car bomb scare' in Leeds suburb
West Yorkshire Police officers were called to the scene in Providence Avenue, Woodhouse,
after the man called up to report finding the device in his car yesterday (June 14) at 10am.

Hide AdThe YEP understands that officers set up a cordon around the vehicle and were prepared to evacuate nearby homes when the woman confessed to them that she planted the tracker herself.
Meanwhile, Leeds City Council’s emergency planning team was contacted to set up temporary accommodation for the evacuated residents in a nearby community centre.
Contact with bomb disposal experts had been made before the device was identified as a tracker system at about 11am.
