'I am so touched by Halle’s kindness - her video moved me to tears'

Halle Dolan was upset when she heard on her mum's car radio that not all children will get a present to open on Christmas morning.
Halle, of Wortley, had heard a Radio Aire appeal for the station's annual Yorkshire Evening Post-backed 2019 Mission Christmas appeal.

Hide AdThe appeal asks people to buy one extra gift to help thousands of disadvantaged children across the county.
Halle asked her family to donate to the appeal and gave £10 of her own money to make a total of £80, which her mum Zoe Morley used top buy gifts for the appeal.
But Halle wanted to do more to help and her mum suggested making a made a video with her asking for people to donate gifts to the appeal.
People have donated dozens of presents for Halle's family to pass on to the appeal.

Hide AdZoe said: "Halle’s video has been seen by 4,300 viewers so far with lots of people commenting or messaging to say that they will buy a gift to donate to Mission Christmas.
"Halle always puts others before herself and would give anyone her last sweet. She brightens up the room with her warmth and is forever making her family proud."
Lisa Sullivan, Radio Aire's charity manager, said: "I am so touched by Halle’s kindness - her video moved me to tears.
"It is such kind thing that she is doing for us and there’s no better message than children helping other children.

Nicola Miah, Halle’s teacher and headmaster at Five Lanes Primary School at Wortley, which is collecting for the appeal , said: "I could not be any prouder of Halle. She is an amazing girl with a huge heart.
"Halle has always shown kindness towards others and her enthusiasm to help other children have a special Christmas is heart warming.
"Five Lanes is proud to have a member of our family who is determined to spread love, kindness and Christmas spirit."

Hide AdLast year’s Mission Christmas appeal supported 27,215 children in West Yorkshire.
Supporters of the campaign can take their gifts to a number of drop-off points which are listed on the Radio Aire website.
Drop off points include B&M Bargains and B&M Home stores.
This year Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids Mission HQ, which acts as a hub for the receipt, sorting distribution of gifts, is at The Store Room, Millshaw, Leeds LS11 8EG .
