Least congested Leeds commuter route revealed
Car insurance firm Admiral compared drive times into some of the UK's largest cities at 9am on a Monday - peak commuter time - with the same time on a quiet Sunday.
They found that a Leeds commuter spends an average of 28 extra minutes in their car than if they were driving the same route outside of the rush hour - an 107 per cent increase.

Hide AdAlthough none of Leeds's commuter routes appeared in the list of the UK's most congested, two journeys into the city ranked among the quietest at peak travel time.
The 18-mile journey from Ilkley to Victoria Gate shopping centre takes 65 minutes on a Monday morning and just 35 on a Sunday - an 86 per cent increase.
While if you commute from York to Leeds city centre, you can also expect to spend 65 minutes in your vehicle compared to 35 on a Sunday for a slightly longer journey of 23 miles.
