Hide AdA West Yorkshire Combined Authority spokesman said: “Drugs create all sorts of problems for individuals and society as a whole and we have measures in place to discourage people from using them on our premises including security staff, special lighting and 24-hour CCTV to monitor suspicious behaviour.
“The recent introduction of a small charge to use the upgraded toilets at Leeds Bus Station has resulted in a reduction in anti-social behaviour.”
The combined authority works closely with West Yorkshire Police and funds PCSOs who patrol bus stations across West Yorkshire.
It has also taken legal action to ban people who act anti-socially from its stations.

“We will continue to do all that is within our power to combat this issue, while at the same time respecting people’s privacy using our facilities.
“We would also urge customers witnessing any suspicious behaviour to report it to a member of bus station staff.”
