Teenager jailed over theft of £2,500 worth of make up from Leeds Boots store

"Gaping holes" were were left behind on the store shelves at Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park after the theft was carried out by Hannah Davies and two other people.
Leeds Crown Court heard the thieves targeted the store on Savins Mills Way on September 26 last year.

Hide AdMake up and make up brushes were cleared from the shelves by 19-year-old old Davies and a man and a woman before they fled.
The stolen items were mainly L'Oreal and Revlon products.
All three were arrested after police circulated still photographs of the suspects.
Davies, of Westbourne Street, Beeston, was interviewed about the offence but refused to comment.
She pleaded guilty to theft.
The court heard she had previous convictions for criminal damage, possessing cannabis, witness intimidation and breaching court orders.

Hide AdPhilip Mahoney, mitigating, said Davies had a difficult upbringing after being taken into care when she was young.
He said Davies had been in an abusive relationship with a violent partner who is currently serving a prison sentence.
Mr Mahoney said Davies had taken part in the offence after being told to by her boyfriend.
Davies was sent to custody for four months.
Recorder Dapinder Singh said: "Despite repeated opportunities given to you by these courts not to commit further offences you have continued to do so.
"Only an immediate custodial sentence can be justified."
Davies wept in the dock as the sentence was imposed.
The court heard the other woman involved in the theft was also given a four-month sentence.
