Hide AdClare told the Yorkshire Evening Post yesterday: "I have been this afternoon.
"It was definitely done in the last day because you can still smell the burning.
"The seat of the roundabout has been set on fire.
"It looks like they’ve lit a book and put it on the roundabout and the rest is burnt magazines and books."
Clare said her children were unable to play.
Clare added:"We didn’t stay and play because of the litter everywhere.

Other residents expressed their anger on social media.
James Crabtree reassured residents that the damage had now been cleared up.
He was praised following the kindhearted act.
