Fresh police appeal after attempted serious sexual assault in Middleton field

A woman in her her twenties reported being grabbed by a man and dragged into a field in the early hours of the morning in Newhall Road.
She fought the man off and managed to run home.
Officers were called at 4.20am.
The Leeds District Safeguarding Unit said a number of enquiries are underway but they still want witnesses to come forward.

Hide AdDetective Inspector Carl Morrison of the Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: “We have a number of active enquiries ongoing into this serious offence and have been conducting forensic examinations at the scene.
“The victim has been supported by specially trained officers and we continue to seek witnesses who may have been in the area at the time and maybe saw or heard something suspicious or have information about what happened.
