The most expensive streets in Yorkshire over the past decade
New data has revealed the most expensive roads in Yorkshire and The Humber between 2010 and 2020. Eight of the 10 most expensive roads were located in West Yorkshire, with Wetherby’s Linton Lane and The Acres taking the top two spots after homes sold for an average of £1.7m and £1.6m respectively. The list has been compiled by house price valuation specialists Mouseprice, which is part of PropertyHeads, a property portal and social network. It reflects average sold prices across the whole decade, going further than the usual yearly insights.
It found that homes across the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber sold for an average of £189,726 between 2010 and 2020. North Yorkshire demanded the highest prices, with sales averaging £251,973, followed by West Yorkshire (£180,359), South Yorkshire (£167,860) and Humberside (£158,712).

Hide AdWetherby’s Linton Lane and The Acres were followed by Stainburn Lane in Otley, where houses sold for an average of just under £1.6m. Harrogate’s Crow Hill Lane took fourth place (£1.54m), whilst Manor House Lane and Harwood Villas, both of Leeds, took fifth and sixth spot after fetching prices of £1.5m. Beverley’s Brimley Green was the only Humberside location to make the top 10, whilst South Yorkshire was not represented.

LS postcodes dominated West Yorkshire’s housing rich list for 2010 to 2020. Wetherby’s Linton Lane (£1.7m) and The Acres (£1.6m) were followed by Otley’s Stainburn Lane, where houses sold for an average of just under £1.6m. Roads in Wakefield and Holmfirth were the only non LS postcodes in West Yorkshire’s top 10, with those houses selling for an average of £1.5m and £1.36m, respectively.

Three of the top 5 priciest streets were located in Beverley, with Brimley Green taking the top spot for the Humber. It fetched prices of £1.45m, followed by Cottingmore’s Cedar Park (£931,000). Old College Drive and East Lane of Beverley took third and fourth spot, averaging sales of £882,000 and £8856,000 respectively, whilst Kemp Road of North Ferriby was in fifth.

The list of South Yorkshire’s most expensive roads was dominated by Sheffield, with 13 of the top 25 located there. Houses on Whitelow Lane in Sheffield sold for an average of £1.3m to take the top spot, whilst Jaggers Lane in Hope Valley and Blue Ridge Close, also of Sheffield, took second and third. They averaged respective sales of £1.2m and £1.1m.
