Well it's played two, won two in the cups, but played two, won none in the league – so much for fortress Elland Road! Surely we can't be in for further frustration tomorrow?
Like United, Crewe have reserved their best form for the cups so far this season, but, crucially, on their travels they have failed to pick up a point.
Macca doesn't appear yet to know his best starting line up, but given the size of United's squad, which ever 11 pull on those sacred white shirts, they should be more than capable of getting our season back on track.
Score prediction: United 3 Crewe 1

Super Luca was majestic in the JPT tie with Bradford, with Aidan White precocious.
However, the performance of the portly Mr Robinson was most pleasing. His ability to beat an opponent and deliver a powerful and accurate shot is something other midfielders currently lack.
The Bantams were despatched with relative ease as United's impressive cup performances continue.
The return of Elding will add interest tomorrow but the team needs to produce under the pressure of league expectation if a fixture at St James' Park is to be a reality next season – should Dennis Wise take charge at Newcastle!
Score prediction: United 3 Crewe 1

Another category B price game that will probably keep the gate down.
A hard match in store as we never seem comfortable in mastering Crewe's system in league games at Elland Road which in previous seasons has made for a poor game where the paint has probably dried quicker.
Elding will be back so let's hope we can do better than last Saturday and keep a clean sheet – assuming Casper is back.
Are we any nearer to a settled team after the cup matches? I pick midfielder to score for us this time.
Score prediction: United 1 Crewe 0

Gary McAllister's men will be on a high going into tomorrow following the derby win over our neighbours Bradford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Cup wins are fine, but we need to focus on getting points in the league.
Delph has proved he deserves a regular start in the team, together with Becchio.
Marques controls the defence and needs to keep his place.
Crewe have not had the best start so far either and will be looking to start the month with a win, so Leeds need to be on form tomorrow.
Score prediction: United 3 Crewe 1

After another cup win, Leeds return to the bread and butter tomorrow – and the lads have to start winning. E
lding will want to make a point to Macca and, with our defence continuing to look shaky, I wouldn't be surprised if he got on the scoresheet.
I would personally start with Telfer and the no-nonsense Michalik at the back.
Andy Robinson showed against Bradford on Tuesday the ability he possesses and it looked like being dropped has done him the world of good. Another tight contest, but United to sneak it.
Score prediction: United 3 Crewe 2
