These images and were taken by YEP snapper Steve Riding when he joined a city delegation on a journey of remembrance and defiance to the concentration camp in Poland in September 2004. The majority of the 180-strong delegation were Jewish and many had relatives slaughtered by the Nazis in mass shootings and gas chambers. They included Leeds-based survivor Arek Hersh.
