1. Frank Strandli
The Scandinavian striker's dreams all came true on one winter's afternoon in January 1993. His debut goal just 11 minutes after entering the fray against Middlesbrough at Elland Road proved the one highlight in a turgid time at Leeds.
2. Lee Chapman
Scored his first of 80 goals for Leeds United at Ewood Park just two days after signing for the club from Nottingham Forest in January 1990.
3. Steve Balcombe
October 1981 and Steve Balcombe equalised against Aston Villa after 62 minutes in what turned out be his only league appearance for Leeds.
4. Alan Smith
Changed the game in an instant when he replaced Clyde Wijnhard after 76 minutes at Anfield in November 1998. Swept home a first time effort past David James to silence the Kop.
5. Pierre-Michel Lasogga
Scored a brace on his debut at Elland Road as the Whites ripped apart Burton Albion 5-0. So one-sided it took the Brewers until the 75th minute to muster an effort on goal.
6. Rob Hulse
"We knew Rob was a good player, but that's better than a dream - you cannot make it up," said Leeds assistant manager Sam Ellis after the loanee netted twice against Reading in February 1995. Photo: Varley Picture Agency
