Fast growing firm finds a home at Leeds Digital Hub
MacComms is the latest fast-growing firm to move into the Leeds Digital Hub. The hub was established in 2014, as a partnership between The Yorkshire Post and Leeds Beckett University. The digital hub has supported dozens of businesses and entrepreneurs to date, including Leon Doyle, a former star of BBC TV’s The Apprentice, and digital advertising company Top Screen Media which secured a contract to deliver the digital marketing strategy for New York’s World Trade Centre.
MacComms is the PR partner for Simon on the Streets, a charity which supports homeless people. The company held an event to raise cash for the charity and celebrate its third year in business.

Hide AdEllie MacDonald, the company’s founder and managing director, commented: “We’ve beaten statistics on high start-up failures to have experienced rapid growth year-on- year.
“My underlying ethos is to create a successful business based on treating people right, and this includes giving back to great causes so tying in a fundraiser for Simon on the Streets was a great way to mark our third year in business.”
The firm employs four staff, with an additional two outsourced directors in finance and human resources.
