Leda Recruitment of Leeds is celebrating a move to new and larger premises on Kirkgate.
Leda, which incorporates Aaron Personnel, is one of the UK's oldest privately-owned recruitment businesses.
It supplies temporary and permanent staff to the rail, building and civil engineering, consultancy and design services, mechanical and ele
ctrical, industrial and office support sectors.
The company was founded in 1988 and managing director Howard Slinger conducted a management buy-out in October 2004, supported by venture capitalists NVM Private Equity Ltd.
In the year to March, the firm saw an increase in turnover from £18m to £23m. The rail division, its fastest growing sector, recorded a turnover of £11m.
Target
Leda has also increased its workforce by 25 per cent in 12 months, and now employs 66 people. It also has offices in Sheffield, Skipton, Middlesbrough, Warrington and Luton.
The company now has a sales target of £27m for this financial year and says it is already on track to achieve this. it is opening a new office in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
Leda has adopted the NSPCC as its chosen charity for 2008 after already establishing a relationship and now becoming a neighbour to its Leeds ChildLine branch.
The firm has already donated £1,000 and is looking to raise over £5,000 for the charity this year, with employees getting involved in events such as running in this year's Leeds Half Marathon and making charity donations in lieu of sending Christmas gifts to clients.
